Welcome House is a multifaceted, faith-based organization serving women and families who are homeless, including single parent families, two-parent families, and families with adolescent males.

  Welcome House, Inc. places special emphasis on women and families that may be ineligible for government housing programs.  It is our vision to end homelessness in the lives of women and families by providing effective shelter, housing, intensive case management, and faith-based nurturing and supportive services.

In May 2004, it was our late founder Lowell Bontjes' dream to shelter homeless women and families after two local shelters lost their family/female emergency and transitional housing.  In June 2004, Welcome House, Inc. became incorporated under the laws of North Dakota as a non-profit organization.  In June 2005, Welcome House received IRS 501(c)3 tax exempt status.
